hello,
I wondered if anyone can enlighten me on the subject of using fonts in a logo. I have tended to stick to fairly plain and corporate looking fonts from free font listings sites/windows defaults, but a) dont want to get into trouble and b) want to get more choice by perhaps using some purchased fonts aswell (from fonts.com for instance).
So...
1) If I purchase a font online is it ok to use it in a logo and any other branding products? Even if the logo is simply the company name written in this font?
2) Is it OK to use that font again with another client?
3) At around $80+ for a font its expensive to have to download the font before the client has approved it, so hows best to work around this?
4) Do you charge the client for the font, i.e. cost for logo design service is $xx + any fonts that are used. In which case the client in theory owns the font, so does my point number 2 above apply?
Please help.
Thanks!
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
